Truck-mounted Cranes

Compare truck-mounted cranes by load chart, working reach, chassis, stabilisers and site access. Chengli Group provides project customisation and OEM/ODM services. Select the crane and body as a complete vehicle; crane maximum rating is not its capacity at every outreach.

Available truck-mounted crane configurations

Crane trucks by lifting task

The HOWO 8×4 SQS350-5 configuration provides a five-section straight-boom example. Compare rated lift at the required radius rather than choosing by the highest capacity number. A crane's maximum lift, radius and height describe different operating conditions and must be read with its load chart.

Define the lift before choosing the crane truck

List the object to be lifted, its mass, pickup and set-down positions, required radius and height, and the worksite access. Include the available stabiliser space, overhead hazards and ground-support arrangements. Cargo transport and crane lifting are separate tasks; describe both if the same vehicle needs to deliver and position materials.

Load chart and working envelope

Identify boom configuration and lifting radius for each task. Review the crane's load chart, hook equipment, lifting accessories and control position. The maximum headline rating does not apply at every reach or height.

Chassis, deck and stabilisers

Compare crane mounting position, deck dimensions, completed vehicle mass and axle distribution. Review stabiliser extension and supporting-ground requirements with the lifting plan. The chosen chassis needs to accommodate the crane and any transported cargo.

Customisation and OEM/ODM

Chengli Group offers project customisation and OEM/ODM for crane-truck configurations. Discuss straight or articulated boom requirements, crane mounting, deck, stabilisers, controls, accessories, paint and branding. Select the chassis and crane together around transport requirements and the lifting task.

For projects in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, send the destination, intended route and local chassis-support requirements with the vehicle brief. The quotation should identify the complete vehicle configuration and delivery scope.

Price and quotation requirements

Truck-mounted crane price depends on the chassis, crane model and working envelope, deck and mounting arrangement, stabilisers, controls and accessories. Send load mass, radius, height, site access, transport needs, quantity and destination. Ask each offer to identify the crane model and configuration rather than quoting only a tonne rating.

Final technical specifications and commercial delivery scope are agreed in the quotation.

Buying questions

Does a 14 t rating apply at maximum reach?

No. Rated capacity depends on radius and crane configuration. For the SQS350-5 example, the listed 14,000 kg maximum applies at a 2.5 m radius; use the load chart for other tasks.

Can the mounting and cargo deck be customised?

Yes. Crane placement, deck and equipment can be specified subject to the compatible chassis and agreed vehicle design.

What should I send for a crane-truck quotation?

Send load mass, lifting radius and height, site access and stabiliser space, transported cargo, chassis preference, quantity and destination.
